We know every sport need its own professional clothes. From basic T-shirts and shorts to elaborate trainers, rain jackets, tights and more, everything is there. And the most popular one is definitely the bicycling jerseys. This important piece of cycling clothing is designed to help riders reach top speeds while staying cool and comfortable at all times.
As a not so professional cyclist, sometimes I don’t know how to buy a good cycling cloth. In fact, there are three most important things to consider when you are choosing your right cycling jerseys.
The first one is the fabric. Your bike jersey should be made out of either polyester or a blend of polyester and lycra/microfiber. As you work up a sweat during your rides, these fabrics will keep you cool by wicking moisture away from your body and facilitating evaporation. In addition, it’s important to have a partial of full-length zipper down the front that can be used to control ventilation as your body heats up and cools down.
The second is the fit. Your bicycling jersey should be form fitting to prevent extra material from dragging in the wind and slowing you down. It also needs to be long enough to cover your back so you aren’t constantly adjusting while riding. You can choose from short-sleeved, long-sleeved or sleeveless designs. Long sleeves are better for cooler weather, but it’s really up to you to determine what style is most comfortable for your body.
The final piece to consider is the design. Many people use their bike jersey as a canvass for displaying their sponsor’s name, but if you don’t have one or don’t need to promote yours, there are plenty of other options. Cycling clothing companies have collegiate jerseys, professional replicas, retro styles, pop culture designs and much more.
If you can find the cycling clothes that can perfectly meet these three factors, then you can buy them for they are just the right ones.
